It originates from the rainforests of Latin America.
An interesting fact is that the plant develops many aerial roots, with which it attaches to surrounding trees and crawls on them upstairs, looking for light.
Of course, this only happens in its natural environment. In indoor conditions, these roots are good to bury in the soil, because in this way the plant becomes more resistant.

Light: Protect from direct sunlight and choose a moderately lit place or light shade. A location next to an east or sheltered west window would be most appropriate.
Water: in winter the soil should be slightly moist but not wet. Water abundantly for the rest of the year. It is necessary between the individual waterings for the soil of the plant to dry and only then to water again.
Humidity: it is good to spray with water the leaves, especially if the room is heated. From time to time, wash the leaves and dust them.
