Chardonnay barrel Vintage 2019

The wine has a beautiful golden color. The nose is saturated with ripe fruits such as melon, peach, mango, as well as delicate vanilla. The taste is multi-layered and well balanced of apple, melon, an exotic hint of pineapple. The wine was fermented and then aged for 10 months in new French oak barrels.

The perfect combination is seafood, risotto, dishes with pumpkin, mushrooms.

 

The appropriate temperature for serving complex white wines that have contact with oak is between 10°C to 12°C.

"Manastira" wine cellar specializes in the production of high quality wines. It is located in southern Bulgaria, 25 km. northwest of the city of Pazardzhik. It was built on a territory with a rich cultural and historical heritage. Winemaking in the region dates back to the time of the ancient Thracians and is famous for its millennia-old winemaking traditions.

The appropriate  combination of climatic and soil characteristics favors excellent quality of the vines and the unique character of the wines. White and red grape varieties are grown in the area, but reds dominate in quantity.

The constant care of the vines affects the quality of the grapes and how well they ripen. That is why a group of specialists controls the vineyards all year round.

The grape harvest begins in mid-September, early October, when the grapes reach optimal ripeness.

It is picked by hand and then transported to the cellar in small plastic cassettes, where any defective beans are removed by hand.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vessels.
